Life Is Stressful
Get TherapyPsychological services
available through the offices of Dr. Rick
Pimental-Habib, Ph.D., C.C.H., include individual
psychotherapy, relationship and family
counseling, and clinical hypnotherapy. Dr.
Rick works primarily in a long-term therapy
modality, but also sees clients who wish to enter
therapy for shorter term, problem-specific work,
including clinical hypnotherapy and different
forms of healing through meditation. Both long-
and short-term counseling or psychotherapy can be
extremely beneficial in dealing with issues
pertinent to individuals, couples and families of
all kinds.
Some readers of Dr. Rick's books have requested
psychotherapy. However, because of geographical
distance, they are unable to come for therapy in
person. As a result, Dr. Rick now offers
counseling by phone - and occasionally by e-mail
- for those individuals who are not in the
Chattanooga area. Phone counseling also works
well for clients who travel for business, and
wish to maintain regular sessions while out of
town.
Lets face
it: Life can be extremely stressful and
confusing, and the complications that arise from
simple everyday living can feel overwhelming.
They may cause immediate problems as well as stir
up plenty of old family and childhood issues that
you thought were resolved long ago. Stress,
adjustments, relationship issues, family issues,
identity issues, dating, careers, addictions and
compulsive behaviors, loss and grief, conflicts
-- with others as well as within
No matter
the specifics, the first step toward a happier,
more congruent life is understanding that you
need not go through it alone. Whatever your
situation, contacting a therapist could be the
healthiest step you take, and could open the door
to a rewarding journey of discovery, insight and
healing.
If youve
previously been in therapy, then you perhaps have
a general understanding of the benefits to
working with someone whom you trust, and who can
offer gentle guidance to help you find your own
answers. If youve never been in therapy
before, but have been thinking about seeking
assistance in dealing with lifelong issues,
resolving some recent adjustment difficulties, or
acquiring a greater degree of insight into your
own behavior or ways of thinking, then therapy
could be quite beneficial for you. In fact, that
you are reading this right now may be an
indication of your readiness for some form of
counseling.

meditation can be a healthy and healing --
addition to their lives. Im happy to
discuss the possibilities with you anytime.
